Shock Poll – Pantelides Would Win Today

By 3 to 1 Margin, Buckley would lose

A Poorly Photoshopped Visual Metaphor

Annapolis (SPP) – A poll conducted of Annapolis residents released today by the University of Glen Burnie shows that if the Annapolis Mayorial election were held again today, former Mayor Michael Pantelides would beat current Mayor Gavin Buckley by a 3 to 1 margin.

The survey, conducted among 1000 likely voters in Annapolis showed that Pantelides would win the race with 75% voting in favor of him and only 25% voting for Mayor Buckley. The margin of error was 4%.

The poll is especially surprising given Mike Pantelides’s current legal situation. Earlier this year, Pantelides fled the United States after he was indicted and is currently sitting in a Turkish prison serving a 60 year sentence for terror offenses. A majority (53%) of the respondents questioned were aware of Pantelides’s legal problems, but this had little to no effect on the result.

Annapolis resident Shannon Wockenfuss told The Super Patriot Post, “Personally, I like the fact that Mike converted to Islam and traveled to Cyprus and Turkey. It shows he’s open minded. And I don’t care that he tried to blow up that gas rig in the Mediterranean. We could have used him here to blow up that stupid bike lane that Gavin Buckley put in.”

Poll internals show that respondents listed the controversial Main Street bike lane as one of their main reasons for turning on Buckley. The bike lane, which costed $78,000, only lasted a few weeks after local merchants complained that the project reduced available parking. Others listed the property tax hike as their reason for opposing Buckley.

Curiously, 42% of poll respondents indicated that they started to find Buckley’s Australian accent annoying. “Come on, man, you’re in America now, just talk normal,” one respondent told the pollster.

University of Glen Burnie political science professor, Dr. Guy Fawkes, who conducted the poll with his students, stated that the results were troubling for Buckley. “If voters are saying that they would rather vote for a guy serving a 60 year sentence in a Turkish prison for terror offenses over you, then you must be doing something wrong,” Fawkes asserted.

When asked to comment about the poll, Buckley denounced it as “fake news.”
